Robert-Holly comes home for leave late May/early June and then the cruise is little later in the summer. Sounds like his ship will come in about the same time he gets there. He should have some time to get settled in and then it's off to see the world.

Its official, son gets to come home May 10 for a short leave before reporting to Everett ,Wa. Hope he has a ship to report to, looks like Abe is still out to sea.

I'm sending out a care package tomorrow and Holly asks for the usual stuff like Cheez-Its and similar but this time she asked for instant oatmeal ;D Must be a comfort food thing.

from experience here...be sure to read through the Care Packages group posts---

I sent far more boxes to Eric than I did when Kat was on cruise....I wish I had known then what a difference it made for those months. Get some ideas ready for things to send and to remind your sailors about life back home....I also plastered each box with tons of NavyDads stickers I made up....never hurts to advertise. I also ended up buying a couple hundered bucks worth of Girl Scout cookies and sending all kinds of boxes of those to all kinds of folks....ends up they get tons of those, but all were appreciated...

Robert, I understand they're getting underway soon and should be back in Everett about the time your son is set to report for duty. This summer they head out for world cruise. What's his rating?
