yes the hotels are filling up . We made our reservations four months ago ( So glad we did ) I can't wait to see my son and the rest of the sailors return home safe . My son returns a 3rd Class Chief Petty Officer . We are so proud of him and ALL that serve and make sacrifices for our WONDERFUL country !

Robert, just talked to our sailor and he said that he didn't send the packet, the emails he sent to us pretty much covered the info..some things that may or may not be contained in the packet he stressed to bring: Clorox wipes for the head, shower shoes, your own pillow and if you don't like wool blankets, your own blanket and earplugs. Tigers sleep in same berthing quarters as sponsor. And of course, don't forget the chocolates for your pillow! My husband is staying at the airport hotel so as to easily get to the USO transportation. He was able to be signed up (late) for that. He is very excited! I told my sailor he better pick out lots of good things during the last port call to buy himself back into my good graces since I'm not going on the TC!! ;-)

I'm not asking for dates but have others received their snail mail with the dates yet? I see Mike Reardon got his on Monday and am beginning to wonder if mine will come soon.

I spoke to my son yesterday Amber and he told me to just let him know if I want my name on the USO shuttle list. I think there is still time to get your name in. I will be coming in from Minneapolis (the day before)
