my daughter lived in a barge for awhile and she preferred it to the ship.......was bigger with more privacy and amenities

I know I had some video inside the barges in the Nimitz-series of Dry Dock videos I posted in '11-'12 but haven't had time to find the vid yet....

Hope all those with first leave period are enjoying! We had a great 4th with ringside seats for the symphony and fireworks on Virginia Beach, now back in Atlanta with our son making the rounds. Too much to do, too little time!

I don't think he has ever been on one. He basically said from what he has heard "it sucks more than the boat". Sorry that was all I could get.

John usually when they are going to do a yard period they will bring in a barracks barge in and tie it close by for those that are going to be displaced from the ship due to work in berthing spaces.
