Comment by jeff vollmar on December 20, 2012 at 7:02pm: wowwww, i signed up with navy dads because my son just recently graduated from rtc in great lakes illinois. i served aboard the eisenhower as part of the marine detachment from 1981 to 1984. this site has really brought back good memories of my time aboard such a great aircraft carrier. i just want to pass along that to all the men serving aboard the ike a big marine corps ooooooorahhh,you will remember your time spent aboard the ike for the rest of your life.
