Today was my daughters first full day on the USS Eisenhower she says there is alot to get use to. she also said that the people that there now are very nice and helpful. I hope and pray that she has fun with her new extended family. Really not sure what to expect or when we can take a trip to see her and the ship but can not wait

Sorry that I have not wrote back. The T.C. was something that words can"t describe. But to see my son and his friends was more rewarding than anything. Alot of my son's friends did not have their parents there so my wife and I talked to them and treated like our own. They were so happy to see mom and hpe that they will see us again. Hanging out with them in their berthing was fun, watching tv, talking and giving each other crap was great. M.M. really don't get to see alot of the T.C. because of their watch duties, my son also did his, but we're so proud of him. We had the best time ever and the things we saw on the ship was amazing. I will post pictures sometime and thank all of you of Navy Dads for your support of our men and women in uniform. I Like IKE and Go Navy.

This was our(wife and I) second T.C. ,just and great as our first.I still get lost trying to find my way around. The T.C. is something that every person that has a SAILOR on the IKE should get to do,no way can you ever experence a T.C. but on the boat.Chance of a lifetime. If you aren't so very PROUD of your SAILOR and the sacrifice they are making to keep us safe and free, shame on you.Congratulations IKE on a job well done!!!

I agree with Raul, I can't believe the Tiger Cruise is already over! My wife and I had the time of our lives. It was so incredible spending time with our son on the Eisenhower. I will remember every second of the journey for the rest of my days.

More later, super tired now. Hard to sleep with bells, whistles, announcements and such (although very cool to hear). Spending the next few days with Ryan in Virginia. I will have pictures when I get back home next week (didn't bring laptop). I go to bed tonight a proud man. I have never been so proud of my son and the all the men and women of the US Navy.

Bravo Raul...I'm glad your cruise was everythingn I said it would be!! If you have photos or feel like doing a blog, we'd love to see that stuff in the Tiger Cruise group to add to our collection!!!

I cannot believe that the Tiger Cruise is over! It was absolutely one of the best experiences of my life. Seeing your sailor at work, meeting his friends, the pilots and other officers was unbelievable. Getting the chance to live with our sailor (even for only two days) gives you a new appreciation for what the young men and women go through on a daily basis. I am so PROUD of all our kids!
You parents that were not able to go this time I hope you get the opportunity to go on a Tiger Cruise. You won't be disappointed and your sailor and his / her friends will appreciate it more than you know.
I pray that all of your sailors are safe and please pass it on to them that the USA thanks them profusely for the sacrifice they are making to keep us free. God Bless America!!!

My son just emailed and said definitely bring a pillow case. They are totally out on the ship.

My son added an item we should consider bringing. It's odd but who ami to say. He said we should bring 'toilet paper'. He said their's is not good and hard to find. Thought I'd just pass it along.

Thanks Paul, good call. I think I will be fine without them given the time of year.

I can barely sleep at night because the cruise is near! Yeah!
