you're probably safe without...if they are taking up space you need for something else define your priorites and make the call from there.....

Am I really going to need jeans and a windbreaker in the dead of the summer? They are taking up valuable space in my backpack.

I cannot believe this wasn't presented in your cruise "paperwork"....ti certainly was weeks before our cuise ont he "Big Stick" last year.

flip-flops, soap, towel, washcloth, lock, small flashlight, less clothes than you think, book if you have downtime, some cash for pins, stickers and the like. Patience for lines! Very little storage space available but with the lock it is secure. No Hard suitcases---great duffle bag (best I've ever used) is the Weekender from REI---duffle bag you can actually wear like a backpack. Naturally camera and tons of space of a chip or two and extea batteries....charging stuff on the ship is almost impossible....the flight deck might be chilly...maybe not but maybe so.....

I just spoke with my son's recruiter who was on the Enterprise and he also advises to bring 'shower shoes, a lock and a towel'.

My son e-mailed us and told us to be sure and bring pillow cases, also I don't know if anybody has advised or not but be sure and take something to wear on your feet to use in shower, very important. We used cash last year,no problem. The air squardons on board had a few t-shirts for sale,in their squad rooms, great souvenir.

Take a Lock.....a decent combo lock and you won't fumble for keys...just make sure you know the combo!

My son says to bring a lock for your rack.

Should we bring a lock?

After rereading the email that I received, it may have been an email that was forwarded to me from my daughter, that was actually meant for the sailors and how they had to purchase the Tiger tickets. Does anyone know if cash will be ok aboard ship?
