about the only thing to buy are snacks and drinks from the machines and maybe some patches when they are on sale. They usually say that because of security concerns......you do have a lock for your storage area under your rack right??

In the directives that were emailed to me by my daughter, it says not to bring cash, credit cards, checks, money orders, or chickens. They say to get a Navy cash card.

Does anybody know how to get a Navy cash card? If so please advise.

I'm not sure but I think they are for sailors only, sailors dont carry cash on the boat as far I know.Cash cards are their form of money on the boat,I hope I'm not telling you wrong.

I would have a pair in case...if you cruise into a cold front and you're on the flight deck it might get chilly...you're going to be out to sea a lot further than you think. Better to have and not need them than to need them and have them sitting on the chair at home.

are shorts and t-shirt / polo good enough along with sneakers? Do we need any kind of long pants during the cruise?

FOD--- bad form for a Yankees hat to get injested into an engine on a 18 about to take off......

ok...in response to a post Scott made about one of my Tiger Cruise blogs I went and re-read the series of blogs I posted last year....

all I can say is you are in for the experience of a lifetime and I'd do about anything to get to do it again!

Some advice....take it all in...look at everything....talk to as many sailors as you can...and experience something very unique in the world! There are not that many folks that get to do what you are about to.....you are going to freak out at the experience!!!!!!
