Thanks Carl Ill be keeping that in mind! Right now we are working on finding a sponsor to help us with this process, i would like to know more about the condo..seems like it could be an option!

Amber I know a sailor that just moved out of Va Beach that has a condo for rent if nothing pans out for you.

Amber,good luck in you uncertain future.I think that the Navy has help for people in your situation,just do alot of research.Try the ombudsman service,don't know if they can help or not,worth a try.How long has your husband been a SAILOR?

I dont know..alot depends on if there is military housing open, if not we will be apartment hunting...all of this is new to me so im still kind of trying to get used to all of this..Thanks for the info,im trying to get as much as i can before this big move! I am very Proud of my husband..just nervous about how long they are going to have him before i get him back!

Amber you should be PROUD to have your hubby assigned to the BEST CARRIER in the NAVY.Are you going to live in gov. housing or off base?My son lived in Newport News with 3 of his shipmates,not a short drive but nice town,WELCOME to the IKE.

Andy, I know somewhat the date and time but rules prohibit me from telling you on this page,e-mail your sailor they can tell you and they have to make all the arrangments anyway dont wait theirs a deadline.

I just found out that my husband is getting stationed to this ship....Not going to lie, im really nervous about the long deployments and the move to Norfolk VA

My wife and I got word from our son that we are a go for the Tiger Cruise. Can't wait to hear when the date and time to meet at Norfolk for the bus trip to Mayport. If anyone gets the news please post. Thanks Andy

no,Norfolk to Mayport.12 hour bus ride,three buses all full of Tigers going to see their SAILORS arrive on AMERICAN soil what a wonderfull sight.Those of you that are going to Mayport and those of you that are going to NORFOLK to see our wonderful SAILORS arrive, you cant make to much noise to let our SAILORS know just how dam proud we are of them.So be LOUD and PROUD.
