Thank you Amber! Since I was unable to see my son off this time, it was good to see the video. God bless all the sailors and all the family members and loved ones who all sacrifice in their own ways to fulfill this mission. God Speed your SAFE journey home Ike!

most of the carrier group cruises have been 6 to 7 months---

The news just said they are expected back early summer. Reality is who knows. Until the Commanding Officer tells our sailors otherwise.. I'll be bracing myself for a longer deployment but crossing my fingers to stick to their origional plans.

Still no word on if the news is going to stream anything live. If not I'll make sure to post a video clip for you, News crews are there.

My son is telling us that he thinks it will be a long one 7 months, because of the way our lazy government people are doing things. There is a program they can take college classes on board that program is set for a 7 month cruise, lets pray for the best.GOD SPEED TO OUR SAILORS.

Given all the craziness going on with the carrier deployments, who knows how long Ike will really be out? 4 months would be great, but I wouldn't bet anything on it because of the uncertainty.
I pray for my son and all aboard regularly because I have faith in the Lord. Not in the politicians.
