Lowell, 135 degrees???  OMG  Thanks for the info.  Hey, would you post your care package stuff in the Care Package Group??  Thanks!

Sorry I just thought of some more care  stuff a bowl to eat out of,silverware(plastic or metal)plastic don't need washing.Don't forget that our sailors don't have alot of room to store stuff in.Have you thought about performance under clothing like UNDER ARMOR or something like it ,its costly but our sailors are putting there lives on the line to keep us save.

`We send our son beef jerky, ramen noodles, macaroni cups, single use kool aid or something like it, crackers, cookies toilet paper, single serving soup cups.I was told that RED CROSS will send care packages for free haven't tried it yet, also some VETERAN groups will ship for free.We just got an e-mail,he said it was 135 on deck without jet blast figured in,and we think we have it hot at 95.

Hey Paul, just another dramatic demonstration that like the sailors on The Ike, we Ike family members are squared away! Bravo Zulu fellow Ike family!

Oh and send them hit cocoa or drinks like that because Starbucks is costly on the boat and they do not accept gift cards

Amber- Since I buy his treats from most of his food from SAMS CLUB before he left they had black socks that were a very good quality and thick enough for their boots. Sans club gives a decent discount for membership for the military. They also send us gift cards every year when we renew membership. I just feel like since it takes forever for his stuff to get there, I might as well buy it in bulk and send it to him. It's also a better value in price in the end than the regular grocery store. You know as wives and the parents we have to think of what they need before they need it and run out because they really dont know better. They're at breakfast right now as we speak!

My Husband asked for more black socks, navy blue t shirts to wear under his coveralls (they cannot have a pocket) and boxers, i sent him a small fan that plugs into his usb port on his tablet that he can run while he is in his rack to stay cool (they are $10 at target)...Maccaroni cups was a great idea!!--they will be in his next box!
