They have calling cards with their individual pin number through At&T. I believe the lowest you can add is 50 dollars. You get the pin from him, you can call the 1-800 number and they add it on. Once they have your card in the system, you can just call back without the pin...What does your son do on the flight deck??

Hi All! Question,,Our son in on the IKE. We get regular e-mails and today got to talk with him. He called mid afternoon, which was much later where he was, I'm sure.
Question is, What type of calling cards do they use or can we send to him, so he has them available when or if he needs them. Our daughter-in-law mentioned that he had told her he called using calling cards. We just thought we'd send some to help him out, if needed.

I joined just to let some of you know that if you can find out your phone's email address you can have brief chats with your sailor when they check their emails..

My son they were able to receive photos in emails one at a time. They were not able to send pictures out. Don't know, but I sent him a funny one and he got it. For what it is worth.

Hello everyone my name is Timmy McConway and I just signed up for Navy Dads and I just want to say thanks for the kind post that I have received. But since I am new to this I was wondering how I can email my son. I have seen several post about it so any input would be helpful.

We get sporadic emails from my son about once per week. He told us a while back that the computer in his area is down and they are using the computer in another area. Our messages have never bounced back and we send pictures frequently. Their workload is tough and time for emails competes with rest and recreation.

Sure send me an email to mfarey@gmail.com and I will get you the info I need to get to him.

Mark, do you want me to try to get a message to your son?

I have only had 1 email from my sons cell phone when they were in Palma.  I don't even know if he has a ship email address or what it would be. It would be nice to be able to email him.  I have things I need to tell him and with him not emailing I only have snail mail and he is not a letter writer like most from his generation and I have not received any letters since they deployed.
