mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm being that it is an assigned position would he have any choice but to stay? He made a comment about the pay and said a few other things as well...

It is kind of hard to wait up to talk to him seeing as I need to be up around 2-4 am to see if he might have a chance to talk via skype.

Thank You, though, for your prayers!

Jim G. Hats off to your son for his selfless actions and staying to help out in Japan. I will be praying for his and the others that chose to stay and help. God bless you and your family.

Last I heard my son was still there in Misawa dispersing supplies with the helo squadron that he is attached too...of course I have not talked to  him in several days <-----and this info being based on a post on facebook.

But his squadron is attached to the GW though...so would they have gone out with her? Or would they still be in the area dispersing aid supplies?

Has anyone heard from their sailor since they left Japan? I'm waiting and wondering.

I am glad they left, and pray all the family members got off the island as soon as possible. Now if I could only get my son Mike to email me. I am sure he knows how to write.

Hey all GW families & friends,  looks like the GW has pulled out of port.  I know I am a little more at ease knowing this.   New story link below:

Thanks!  I appreciate the support.  As a Navy veteran, I do not doubt that our son will be safe...just wish I could convince my wife of that!  : )
