Yes, lots of progress. He's been in touch with the quarterdeck and his sponsor today and has gotten some clarification as to what to do. Feel like everything is under control now. Thanks everyone for your help!
His PIR was August 1, 2014. We attended. Quite a nice show. You are right that this whole thing has been more stressful for his parents than for himself!
He's flying. His flight is actually scheduled to land around 4:45pm at the Norfolk Airport. As far as relaxing, I think it is me that is more uptight than he is about everything! He's looking forward to it all and just anxious to get there.
Wow, some great help from you guys. Thanks. I'm not sure of his department or division. He is an ITSN (coming from Pensacola Corry Station A School). His UIC is 21853. He is arriving around 1800 hours on Friday. His name is Steven Kelly Bland. Will try the quarterdeck tomorrow as well. All help greatly appreciated.
Asked my daughter, OS on Truman, and she thought Quarter Deck may help. She thinks his department and division should be making arrangements to get him to ship to report. She offered to try to contact his Division tomorrow if she could get his Division and Department info. Since they are in port her chiefs have her just doing a lot of administrative stuff anyways.
Thanks. Please let us know what he has to say asap. Anyone else out there with info?
