Sorry my intention was not to make you sad but a couple of points. If you know how many supplies they have then there is a security leak somewhere.
And if the captain gets an order to provide humanitarian aid he will go there and the earth quake may have come after his post.

My son said that if they have to go then there would not be a better reason.

You are as bad as the people on the Reagan Family site. There were 20 posts about Samoa. Well they are past the PI according to the Reagan care line Captains update. They do not have extra supplies because they are headed home. I doubt they get kept out even for humanitarian reasons. I have been a sailor or a spouse or a mother to a sailor since 1975. Leave early yes. but never delayed when they do not have extra supplies. You can try make me sad, I refuse to be. They are coming home and it will be soon. The captains message from 9/29/2009 said full steam ahead and the weather was not a factor.

New email from Justen this early am. He is manning the rails coing in to the last port and into home port. I am proud of him that is a long time to stand . He has done it for Hawaii before it took about 3 hours to be on deck. I remember how sunburned he was in the pictures. I hope he remembers the sun screen. He burns easy. He got the last 2 boxes we sent out a long time ago. But he was really surprised. He was expecting one. We sent a game for his xbox and new head phones with extra snacks. I was hoping he would get them before Thailand. Does not matter when I guess. He sounded like it had been Christmas.

Well back to email again. The phones went down in the middle of our conversation. Justen has done every thing except for taking his air war fare board. He qualified for the watches he need. Passed the air war fare exam. Now the surface guy is waiting while studying for his board for air war fare. He needs to finish up to feel he did everything he needed to during this 4 months out. I feel bad that he is playing the NAVY game called Hurry up and wait. Nothing in the Navy has changed that way in 30 plus years. I remember telling my mother about that back in 1975.

Hey everyone Justen wrote complain of how terrible it smells there. He said it is one big sewage hole. He is ready to head for the USA. He wishes they would spend more time in the last port.

My son had duty yesterday, the first day in. He rode the elephant last year he is going on the other tour this time.

Hey, lady boys can't touch their elbows together and can't cross their leg over their knee like a REAL woman! lol

Is it something with elephant's and Sailors? Evan was also saying something about riding an elephant. And we're waiting for a phone call too. It's like when these boys hit port and can finally call mom they instead decide to just run wild and aren't so much worried about calling home. Gotta love em!

I had a short email from Justen last night. He was going on a MWR trip to ride an elephant. Waiting for a phone call. I hope he stays safe. He was a little more anxious this port. They really have gone over policy and what to watch out for.

DCparent,

from what my son told us they should be there now. He did pass along the lady boys pics for us to see if we knew the difference. Too funny! Anyways, counting down the days. The Reagan is on it's way back home! HooYah!
