The RR arrives in home port of San Diego after 219 days at sea and more than 66,000 nautical miles. The Reagan and its carrier strike group arrived in 5th Fleet, where it spent about half of its deployment supporting combat and maritime operations. The air wing flew about 900 combat missions supporting forces and operations in Afghanistan.

FromU.S. Naval Air Forces-the USS Ronald Reagan Strike Group homecoming will still occur as scheduled.

For those plannng on meeting and greeting friends or family-- it is recommended that you plan to meet your returning Sailor and then have your celebration at home--given the current power situation.

Wyndam has some good deals, and there are a lot of Holiday Inns. As for the day, I don't know if we can give that out yet. But you can write the Obudsmen for the Reagan.
