Hello Everyone.Well James is back on the West coast as of 2330 hours last nite. Not sure what time he got to base yet as i would imagine he is either catching up on sleep or processing in to his new unit. Now that he is only a 20 hour drive from home his sisters are already planning a trip to sunny California{:-) I am sure his time with the fighting forty will be an adventure.

Hi Cora, that is good to here about Brooklyn. Here is to hoping she has the time of her life..
James so far is halfway to finishing his ECS training. From there he goes to his regular duty station for about a year till his battalions next deployment, which from what he has heard via the grapevine will be back to Afghanistan for a seven month deployment.Just what he was hoping for!
Take care and best of luck to Brooklyn!

Good day to Cora... James is in Gulf Port Miss. as of 4-10-09 at 2330 hours. He was the only one in a 4 bunk room, but when i talked to him last night he said the he now has 3 roommates.Coming from Washington,he cares almost less for the weather there as he did for G.L.He is still waiting to class up,so he is kinda feeling like he is spinning his wheels right now.Hope Brooklyn is doing good as you are. Take care!

Hi Cora, Well it sounds like Brooklyn will have a chance to do quite a bit while at Whidbey. It is really nice up there around June and July. But then, when you are a Washington native 55 degrees and a light rain is nice !Hopefully by the end of April the weather will have started changing a bit.Just getting really tired of the dang snow! We've had more than our fair share in the lowlands this winter.I had an uncle that was stationed in Japan,he said it was one of his favorite duty stations while he was in.
Take Care and tell Brooklyn good luck!

Hi cora. How long does she have on whidbey island? It can be pretty nasty up there this time of year, but if she is still a ways from heading up she may catch some pretty decent weather here in another month or so. Tell her to take lots and lots of film! If she gets the chance she should do some island hoping in the san jauns. Well time to go for now. Tell your daughter i said good luck and i'll talk at ya later.

eric, are you gonna be over early, late,or all day? i am about 40 miles south of Ft. Lewis, but it wouldn't be to far of a drive for a cup of joe. Let me know. Maybe we could meet at hawks prairie or in that vicinity.

Born and raised in Redmond. We have lived in the Spokane area for the past 12 years. Four kids with our oldest son a Reserve Corpsman based here for now. He recently passed his PST for BUDS and is pushing to go active. I'll be over at Camp Murray/Ft Lewis next Saturday and would be happy to get together with anyone in the area for a cup of coffee.
