Allen, Congrats to your son on making DC3. I was a DC on a sub tender back in the early 90's. I miss it every day, if I can answer any questions on the rate, please let me know
to Dana, I can tell you what my DC son does when not at sea. They maintain their equipment, assist in engineering duties on the ship, and do drills and teaching on safety matters. I hope that helps.
My daughter is about 3 weeks from finishing A school and then will get some leave. She enjoys the demonstrations and wet lab stuff but finds the computer training a bit tedious.
Any updates on how any of your DC sons and daughters are doing so far?
Hi all, my daughter is at GL A school now and just got orders for Japan!
Hey all, My son is a DC on the USS Oak Hill (LSD51)
