OK, so it's not something they really carry around with them? I would love to display them on my mantle and then eventually give them to him.

in my case I have the coins for my son and daughter just because I made the holders and needed them for fit.....when I next travel to visit either they get the coins and holder if they have the space.....if not, I love seeing them as it reminds me how proud I am for their service!

Are these coins that you would give your sailor, or do you keep them as your own collection, or both?

I don't want to be sending my son something he shouldn't be receiving from me.

Hi guys,  The wife found your discussion and wanted me to share.  I was in GC in March and found a mini NEX in a building right next to the ceremony, trying to stay warm.  This closet sized store had NNPTC hats, cups, shirts and coins.  Got these 2 for $10 the day of the graduation.   These are the only power school coins I've seen.  Hadn't been back to Charleston since my DD took me to Nam in 69'. Had a wonderful time.  GO NAVY !

B'snukemom,

As far as I know, one doesn't exist. I have two challenge coin companies who sell their coins on Navy Outfitters. So I always pass along to them what us parents are looking for. I think the biggest reason why you don't see many specialized coins like the one you're looking for is because of cost.  Each coin is expensive to set up and produce. They're also not guaranteed to sell. Although I've been asked many times, that's the reason I haven't had a NavyDads logo coin created yet. Ouch! it's pricey!

My sailor is in nuclear power school - does anyone know if there is any coin for this phase in his schooling?

Gary, I too ordered the proud mom and proud father coins from the Navy Dads on line store. I actually ordered several others as well. I told my wife that our sailor needs to get out of A school, get promoted, and get stationed/deployed so I can get additional relevant coins! This is addicting!
