They've created a Facebook page for our PIR date. You'll need to click on "Groups" and then put this in the search box:

I asked Shane the same question.  Anybody a target for the instructors?  He said there are a few guys who routinely get singled out and everybody pays for it.  But, it is a good learning experience that team success relies on every single individual.  Sometimes peer pressure is a very effective tool in helping motivate a slacker.

Doug, that's funny ! I can't believe someone would snitch over a cookie, bet that guy felt pretty stupid ! Lol !! I received a call yesterday too. Of course I was in Walmart but I found an isle and chatted for about 30 minutes :) Tommy sounded good, a little discouraged because there's a couple guys who keep messing up and getting everyone else in trouble, and having issues getting the marching down for PIR. I told them there's always a few, stay focused and help others if he can. I guess their RDC is coming down hard on them. I told three weeks and he'll experience an amazingly proud moment, PIR !! Hopefully things start getting easier, but regardless... The worst is behind him !! It was great to just hear his voice and have time to build him up !! Can't wait for PIR and see the man he's become !!

Got a phone call today which was fantastic.  According to Shane, they are in week 4, not 5 but that doesn't make sense.  Maybe they jumbled up their schedules though.  He did tell us a humorous story.  Apparently somebody auditioning to be an brown shirt snitched on my son for hiding a cookie in his pocket at chow time.  Three huge instructors came into chow hall, made him stand up, and then made him empty his pockets.  Well, since he didn't have a cookie in his pocket, and the snitch had it wrong, nothing came of it other than my son learning a valuable lesson that some people seek to get ahead on other people's backs or they leap before they look.  He did have an extra cookie that his chow buddy gave him, but he ate it.  No sneaking cookies (or donuts) ala Private Pyle in FMJ here....

3 weeks from today, we'll be at PIR !!!!!  We're almost there !!!  I highly recommend attending Sarge's Meet and Greet.  From what I've read, everyone who's attended highly recommend it.  Sarge provides ALOT of info PIR.  There's a separate posting from the Admins, on the right side of the main page.  You will need to RSVP.  It is free to attend, but donations are appreciated ! It would be great to meet all of you :-)   3 MORE WEEKS !!!!!!

And for George, there is a group photo of Division 81.

Paul, on the Facebook page from the RTC, they did identify the divisions but not the ship or specific members, unless done by viewer comment.  If you go to the U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command Facebook page and then to the Christmas 2015 post, you can page one by one through the pictures and it identifies the division on each picture.

Just to clarify photos from RTC: 1) they will not accept any requests for specific photos 2) all photos from RTC are taken on a RANDOM basis 3) RTC does not identify the division

I have to admit, I've looked at his over and over.  Unfortunately, his pictures were snapped during a class and no close ups or group picture as others had.  But, I am just glad to have it.

Hi Doug, I was so excited when I saw the pictures on Facebook !! I actually saved my sons division to my phone, and it's now my desktop at work :-)  I love looking at him everyday !  Today starts week 5, they should all be adjusting a little better, feeling more confident.  Plus, they can see the light at the end, their Sailor cap ! I can't wait for their PIR !!!!
