It's getting close to PIR gentlemen! We discussed it and decided we would meet up at Flanagan's for their meet and greet.
Here's a Google Maps link to Flanagan's: http://goo.gl/maps/eT92s
And here is the info on what's available there:
- Free appetizer buffet which includes:
- Free music and Karaoke starting at 8:00pm
- $10 Gift Certificate for navy graduates meal (steak and seafood included)
- You may use your $10 gift certificate you received from participating hotels (or ask for one when you come in) for dinner during or after the Meet & Greet at Flanagan's.
- $1 Domestic Tap
- $2 Import Tap
- $2 Domestic Bottle
The Meet and Greet will begin at 5pm each Thursday, or day before Graduation, and will end around 9pm.

We just got my son's first letter and on the return envelope is a different address than the one in the form letter. My son told us that "someone" said to use this new address. I wanted to be sure,…Continue

What a treat today. Amber is in day 18 and got to call home this morning. We got to talk for about 20 minutes. She does say the food is pretty good also. Doing good and making progress in PT.
We got our first letter yesterday as well. Our son was such a picky eater. Funny to hear him say, it's amazing what you'll eat when your hungry. He said he was surprised how good the food is. I could go on but I'll spare the details. He is doing well.
Received our first letter from son Dan in Ship 14 Div 333. I don't have to worry about getting the mail anymore. I think my wife stands out by the mail box waiting for it. lol. Sounds like Dan is doing well and getting things figured out. Can't wait until the next letter comes.
This. Is the letter that the boot camp sent my sons dad.
Finally got the first letter from my daughter. She finally got to write on 26Aug12, received today. So far she is semi-enjoying it and doing fairly well with PT. Seems to be upbeat but i feel she is ready for bootcamp to hurry up and be over. Only trouble so far is passing out after having blood drawn. It's great to finally hear from her. Hang in there everybody, it seems they can finally start writing home.
Craig, my daughter is suppose to be a Master-at Arms. Typed by her dad, a former MM
Anything you guys don't understand just post it. I'm a retired Navy guy and my whole family is active duty Navy, except one traitor Air Force daughter. ~ha
If you ever go to the moms site, I'm one of the group admins for the TG-48 section there, as well as many other places.
So, now my question for you guys, what rating (jobs) are your future sailors? Any CT's out there?
we can use all the help we can get. Oh by the way Craig , welcome to our zone.
Hey all,
Normally I'm helping the moms out. But sometimes the estrogen enriched area drives me crazy so I thought I'd join you guy to get the much needed testosterone I need.
