We just got my son's first letter and on the return envelope is a different address than the one in the form letter. My son told us that "someone" said to use this new address. I wanted to be sure,…Continue

Hey guys, the meet and greet event I posted was taken down by the site admin because it is not an officially sanctioned event, which is fine. There are good reasons for it, but I'll not get into that…Continue

I don't know Brian, looks like different divisions and ships. Amber is ship 03 div 330. They might be close by each other. I did see a few days ago where they stood up an all female ship or division. Did anybody's daughter wind up in it?

Jeff,

He was section leader of his tenor section in the drum line in high school and a member of the youth symphony for about 9 years.  I guess that is why he was selected.  :-)  He won several state awards for drumming, so that part is probably coming easy.  It's the PT that is probably kicking his butt!  :-)

Hi everyone,

My son is in Ship 02 Div 948.  Have read online that "900" divisions are "performance and drill", but I was not familiar with it until his recruiter told me he was selected for it.  Looking forward to PIR already and seeing what exactly that division does!  Hope to see everyone there!

Hey Jeff, In the summer here we stand in front of the A/C vents and count how many days we have left to fry before Winter is here! LOL!!
The saying is, "But it's a Dry Heat", well so is an oven but I would not want to live in one! But here I live.

Comment by Shaun Jones on August 27, 2012 at 8:22am

Thanks Jeff. We live in Phoenix and drive to Parker, AZ and camp on the river (well RV camping LOL). In the summer we take the boat and jet ski's to play on the water and in the winter we take the street bikes and ride along side the river to Lake Havasu and Laughlin, Nevada.

We will see you at the meet and greet for sure!
