It's getting close to PIR gentlemen! We discussed it and decided we would meet up at Flanagan's for their meet and greet.
Here's a Google Maps link to Flanagan's: http://goo.gl/maps/eT92s
And here is the info on what's available there:
- Free appetizer buffet which includes:
- Free music and Karaoke starting at 8:00pm
- $10 Gift Certificate for navy graduates meal (steak and seafood included)
- You may use your $10 gift certificate you received from participating hotels (or ask for one when you come in) for dinner during or after the Meet & Greet at Flanagan's.
- $1 Domestic Tap
- $2 Import Tap
- $2 Domestic Bottle
The Meet and Greet will begin at 5pm each Thursday, or day before Graduation, and will end around 9pm.

We just got my son's first letter and on the return envelope is a different address than the one in the form letter. My son told us that "someone" said to use this new address. I wanted to be sure,…Continue

Hey guys, the meet and greet event I posted was taken down by the site admin because it is not an officially sanctioned event, which is fine. There are good reasons for it, but I'll not get into that…Continue

Everybody have a safe trip and i look forward to meeting my new friends. We are doing like Brian and starting the trip Wednesday evening. Should take between 12-13 hours. Will probably go to Flanagans.
Not counting my wedding day and the birth of my children. I believe this will got to the top above attending game 7 when the Angels won the world series and getting to walk 18 holes with Fred Couples. You are right the energy you get at these type of events is staggering. We can hardly wait. I hope this group will stay intact as our sailors deploy to the fleet and around the world. It would be great to see where and how far they go. I want to thank Jeff for having the vision for this group. It has been a great comfort to my wife and I to know all our kids are going thru this together. Hopefully they have forged some life long releationships.
you'll discover that the energy of the crowd is contagious.....it is gonna be a memorable PIR for sure!! When they call "liberty" the place will go into absolute pandemonium !!!!
Brian, Have a safe trip to GL and equally as safe return home. Still waiting on the "I'm a sailor" call. We got a message that his division won the Captains Cup. My wife and I will try for Flannagans, going to be a long day of travel with an early wake up on Friday. I love the term "Gradzilla" it will be just that, but I would not miss it for the world.
See you all soon,
hope all that are heading for "Gradzilla" have a safe voyage.....we expect photos and stories when you get back!!!
well my new friends, I am leaving tomorrow night to head up for PIR. Figuring about an 18hr drive. Just wanted to say to everyone traveling to GL to have a safe trip no matter how you are traveling or how near or far you are. See you in 2 days at the meet & greet
No call from my son yet...expecting it today. 3 days and a reveille, folks!!!
By the way, we will be attending the Sarge's Meet-n-Greet; I hope to see everyone this TH/Fri!
I just talked to my son! !!! He sounds great.just Clile before the big day! !!!
Thanks to everybody for their support. I am so PROUD, I got the call Friday About 1600. Amber is a sailor now.
