It's getting close to PIR gentlemen! We discussed it and decided we would meet up at Flanagan's for their meet and greet.

And here is the info on what's available there:

- $10 Gift Certificate for navy graduates meal (steak and seafood included)
- You may use your $10 gift certificate you received from participating hotels (or ask for one when you come in) for dinner during or after the Meet & Greet at Flanagan's.
- $1 Domestic Tap
- $2 Import Tap
- $2 Domestic Bottle
The Meet and Greet will begin at 5pm each Thursday, or day before Graduation, and will end around 9pm.

We just got my son's first letter and on the return envelope is a different address than the one in the form letter. My son told us that "someone" said to use this new address. I wanted to be sure,…Continue

Hey guys, the meet and greet event I posted was taken down by the site admin because it is not an officially sanctioned event, which is fine. There are good reasons for it, but I'll not get into that…Continue

@ Jeff 327 @ everyone else + Jeff...Thanks. You guys & ladies made the last 2 months much easier. Hope to meet a lot of ya's next Thursday night
Congrats Brian on your Daughter making it. Waiting on Amber to make the same call. See y'all on the 12th
Brian, Congrats on the new Sailor in your family!! Sorry to hear that you did not get the call.
My Daughters GF got the I'm a sailor phone call this afternoon. A little disappointed. Figure I would at least get that one being the only Vet in the family....
Congrats on getting the phone call, Jeff! My SR said he has not gotten to call the last two Saturdays due to screw-ups by a couple of people in his div. However, today, I was able to spot him in a photo taken at 9/28's PIR!! Div. 948 gets to perform for 3 PIRs: 9/28, 10/5 and their own on 10/12. Today was a great day!
Jeff, my son is in 822, so were not sure. I asked him about it today and he did not answer. He only stated that he was going to put out a real fire this week. He sounded grown up, made me tear up. I tried to make him promise not to cry when he saw my wife and myself on Friday for his PIR. He said he could not promise. Kudos to Southwest Airlines. They allowed me to change my non refundable, changeable tickets to a later flight, so we can see him most of the day Saturday. He will stay at RTC unitl the 20th then off to A-school. I mentioned what he was doing and the lady said no problem. The fee was acceptable.
What a great day. Just got a call from my son, we got to talk for 40 minutes. I guess he did really good on a test and they gave him access to a phone to make some calls. Found out he starts A-school on the 20th so we get to spend Saturday with him as well. The two weeks can not go by fast enough. Found out about phones and computers. He told me they could not have any electronics for the first two weeks of A-school. In my son's first letters, he told us how slow things were going. He just told me it has been the fastest 2 months in his life, he could not believe it. Just in case anyone else is from div 822, found out they will be on the north end of the hall so you know where to sit. Hope to meet some of you at Flanagan's.
There is a reception at the Remada Inn as well, I believe that one is from 6 - 8 and the hours for Flannagans is from 5 - 9 |
Can they get their phone back on Fraday and keep it with them? If not I will drive to the Airport to meet up with him and do it Saturday Morning. Looking forward to Flanagan's as well
