George, did you try to e-mail: "Ombudsman@USSBoxerFamily.com"  I think they are family member that are in San Diego.  They may have some advice.  I have had a couple of questions and they were helpful...

OK, here I go again. I`m still trying to find out how my son is doing. Some of you have made suggestions. I thank you for that. Unfortunately they haven`t panned out. I even called the Red Cross and they said they couldn`t help unless a family member was dying. What do I need to do, fake my own death? That won`t happen. My son won`t tell me what his rank or job is. I don`t get it.

Some of you have told me they they keep our sailor pretty busy. I get that. But how is it that your sons and daughters can contact you but mine can`t. I know they get time off just like we do at our jobs. We have the advantage of making calls and getting on line anytime we what.

My pride is turning to hurt and disappointment but the pride will never go away for him serving his country but it will go away by the way he is treating his family.

Do I need to try to contact his captain? Just asking. I think they are coming home in the near future with all the talk about the TC.

I am at my wits end. Can anyone point me in a different direction to reach him?

I`m begging.

From my experience these FDCs are always given in such short notice. So by the time your sailor informs you, they may need a confirmation of attendance either that same day or real soon! If you haven't heard from your sailor(s) per Bobby's post -- the Command Ombudsman would be the next in line for info...

Hi Lon(: I don't think its to late yet. our sailor( first ) the Ombudsman ( second). They said plans were not finalized yet,but they would email with the info when it came available..BOBBY
