Hello All.... Spring is coming to Michigan, it is going to be 32 degrees ABOVE zero tomorrow (ha ha).  Come on Tiger Cruise, I need an excuse to get out of this cold weather!!!  My wife just called and said Kevin just got his "flyer pin".  Anyone know what that means?  He is an Aviation BM - Handler, but I don't think he actually flies in the planes.

Has anyone heard of a projected return date for the Boxer? Trying to give my boss a rough idea of when I`ll need off. Last I heard it was sometime in April but I was also told it was way too early to tell.

Thank you all for your support. I was feeling a little sorry for myself and was really missing him last night. You had to remind me of what I already knew.

Jim Thank you. I don`t know how many times I`ve emailed my son. No matter how frustrated I get, I am still proud of him. He has got to find his way in life just like I did. I know that I made my parents mad while I was trying to find my way.

Must be nice for your kids to call home or at least email you. My son must think he`s too damn important to talk to his family. Just a little PISSED

Hay Dads Just got my sailors email address and we have been chatting. She said, sun sets are awesome!!! She got to get off to take a look around(where ever that might be).Being aboard ship is not to bad, she said.She's having fun in the barber shop.(They like her bald fade).( HAHAHA) Hope you Boxer Dads are talking with your sailors I'm having fun talking to mine.PROUD NAVY DAD BOBBYZEE

I had a "chat" on line with Kevin yesterday.  As part of OPSEC they can only say where they have been, not where they are.  Best to assume they are still somewhere near there last port of call (Baharan, I think).

I'm feeling blessed, got a phone call from my sailor this morning.She said, Daddy I'm cutting hair for the men & women in blue. Don't forget the semper fi too...HaHaHa, You'll make a great SH, you got to start some where. You'll get to know all the sailors fast in barber shop.She is having a great time, only 6 hours of sleep and back to work. I'm proud of my sailor, doing something hard in life,being away from home, family&friends,sleeping in a small space ect.ect..A small piece in the Big Navy, even if its just cutting hair.(Sailors Rule) (HOOYAH GO NAVY)
