Good evening all Boxer Dads. I have a question. Do you know how long it take our sailors to receive a package after it is mailed. A lot of us in my sons family have sent him packages and we don`t know if he ever received them. We know it`s not a good idea to send cash through the mail, but I think our family has sent around $100 for his birthday and Christmas. We did this because we are new to this and didn`t know if a check would do him any good aboard the ship. 

If any of your sailors know my son, could you have them talk to him and tell him to call or email? His name is M.E. Nelson. I`m not sure of his rating but I think his rank is E-2, Last time I talked to him he said he was getting an automatic promotion.

George,according to my son who is aboard, they was in port  in BAHRAIN. That was last I hear,They may be under way by now.just sent him a big package of pop corn (he asked for)to share with his freinds on as he calls it movie night .hope your son get to share some lol

Can anyone tell me where the Boxer is. Last time I talked to my son they were in the Arabian Sea I think. That was before Thanksgiving.

The amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4) operates in the Pacific off Southern California. The ship is taking part in exercise Dawn Blitz 2013 and PHIBRON-MEU Integrated Training (PMINT). The two exercises provide the crew and embarked Marines with realistic and relevant pre-deployment training.

that duty is not fun for anyone, but all enlisted at sea rotate through that eventually......
