In the past few days I became aware of other family members that have kids/ grand kids serving on the Tennessee. Towards that end I created this group as sort of a parent FRG (Family Readiness Group) so that we can support our sailors.
This group does not have any discussions yet.

Welcome aboard Scott. Tell us a little about your son. What's his rate and rating. Is he on Blue or Gold?
Fair winds and following waves Gold Crew.
Glad to hear you got a tour of the boat. Unfortunately when my wife and I were there in November to see the new grandson they were too close to deployment for us to get a tour.
Well my son is back and sporting his dolphins and strategic deterrence patrol pin. He also said he made senior in rate while he was gone. That means he completed all qualifications required of a second class MM.
My DIL received an email from my son. He got his Dolphins on Christmas day.
Got an email from my son the other day. He has 4 quals left then he'll go before the board. He should have his dolphins soon.
Tennessee blue is gone and will be back sometime in the new year. My son said he'll get his dolphins while he's gone.
My son called me last night and advised he re-enlistin. He starts his paperwork on Monday.
Your GS will be going strait onto the 734 as Gold Crew is currently on crew. The 734 is coming out of dry dock so he'll go out with them for a week or two for a shakedown. If he gets a chance tell him to say hey to my son who's the Blue crew Joshua MM2 N.
