Ron- we don't have RTC ship coins available - I know they are made and you might check with Craig at NavyDep.com

Does anyone know where/how/when we can get a coin for our sailors "ship" to give her at PIR July 31? Do they have them for sale at PIR or do we need to order online? If so, from where?

JUST found out my son has been selected as Honor Grad for his Div - Woo-Hoo!  Looks like he'll be getting an additional Coin presented to him by the CO ...  Hoping what I ordered before gets here in time for PIR next week ;-)

That is very true and a great idea when it comes to personalizing the coin for your sailor's milestone.  As they advance to E-4, E-5, etc....you can have their name, date, rate, etc engraved on the back.

Some of the coins are engravable too so that you can personalize them!

Fabulous information!  I've just ordered both :-)  Way Kewl!  This wasn't an option that I was aware of when I was in the Navy ...

Cheryl,  it is a great idea and totally appropriate.  As Tom said, you can start a collection that follows their accomplishments and achievements through training and advancements.  I started my son with the RTC coin as well as the "Sailors Creed" coin.  He has since amassed a rather large collection through his achievements as well as coins that he has been given by different CO's and airwings.  Good Luck, and thank him for his service.
