Greetings Jerry from Scott in rainy Seattle.....I think I have my facts right..David graduated from PIR mid October....He had 3 days before he shipped to Pensacola ...Classes started soon afterwards. He told me he worked hard and got his schooling done early. I guess they can advance if they are doing well and go through manuals faster ? He calls and e-mails often. He said the IT courses are not difficult if you study and apply yourself as he did. We got him his lap top and computer as fast as we could once he arrived ( Do not give cell at PIR ) He rooms with 3 other guys taking diffrent courses. He has a private locker for storage. I went to Pensacola and visited him for Thankgsgiving and stayed at Pensecola Beach ( Marriot Spring Suites ) on the ocean where they offer Military discounts for non view rooms ( 30 minutes from Corey Station Base ) . He was in phase 3 which allowed him off base for a limited time and he got to stay with me. It was great for him and me !! Pensacola around the Corey station base is not a very nice area. If you visit him and money is an issue stay at the Navy Lodge in the NAS base only 10 to 15 minutes away from Corey Station. Visit the NAS Air Museum a must for the history of NAVY and of course NAS is the base for the Blue Angels. Golf if you do at the NAS course ( 27 holes ) nice and on the water and with military discount a good deal ! David is anxiously awaiting his orders and hopes to come home before he reports. His dream sheet is the west coast but as I am sure you have heard as the Navy has needs the Navy gets ! Feel free to ask more I will try and get more info if you need.
