Hey Mike....told you...was that great or what?!? it makes all the weeks of heartache more than worthwhile! I'm glad to hear that you had a good time. Did you go to the airport to hang out with Scott? Now communication is open with your sailor and it becomes much easier. I didn't go to San Antonio...luckily my wife's family is all down around there. My Brother-In-Law is a Colonel at Sam Houston and was able to attend MA Graduation (and pin her) along with Caity's Grandparents...so we were well represented! I hear that San Antonio is a blast. You can now get off the "rollercoaster" and help out the next Dads coming along. Again...congrats my friend, and the best of luck to Scott as he progresses in his career!

Hi Tom, thanks for the BZ to Scott.  PIR was amazing!  Expensive but worth every dollar.  I took his girlfriend and my other son and daughter and their families so I had 3 hotel rooms at the Residence Inn in Lake Forest on Riverwoods Blvd.  It was the nicest room I ever stayed in and wold highly recommend it to anyone going.  Not far from the base, Sarge's Meet-N-Greet, or O'Hare.  Now the fun part begins and Scott will start training for his career in Law Enforcement.  He's excited to be in his own room with 2 other sailors instead of an 80 person barrack.  I can't wait to go to see him again.  Any sugestions on where to stay there?  I heard Riverwalk is very nice.
