Debbie who is that gorgeous girl in the picture with you and Tim?? And why do I not remember your husband to be the hulk he is?? Your mother would have been so proud of Tim. Evan is coming home after his deployment. He has been gone when he gets home five and half months. He will fly here from Hawaii. but only for 7 days. He is saving time to come home for Christmas. Where is Tim going to be stationed? Did you all get to take to boat trip through the city of Chicago?? I just loved the city, would like to go back one day maybe. Debbie, You look so good. And Tim, he is just so handsome. Did you have a great time in Chicago. What was your feelings when you saw Tim for the first time. Kind of the best feeling in the world. I could not believe I was so close to my Evan and I could not rush up to him and give him a big hug. Again please thank Tim for my freedom. May God sail with him. Aunt Carol

Dear Debbie, No I did not get the pic, my computer would not let me down load it. I know my heart was breaking for my sister and Danny's. We know the pain of loosing a mother, but your child, can't even go there. So you go to the great lakes on August 14. If you have never been to Chicago, you will love it. And aside from the Navy Pier, take the boat ride through the city, it was beautiful. My prayers are with Tim. Love you. Aunt Carol

Dear Debbie, When our son called me this morning and told me you joined I had to stop and think, was your son old enough to join the Navy. Where have all the years gone. By, to fast. So Tim has joined the Navy. I can only image the feelings you are going through. I watched Cindy and Elmo and me as the grandmother. I cried when our Evan left. That was over a year ago and we still miss him soooooo much. Not having all eight of my grandchildren right here, is so strange. But, he called me last night and again this morning from Singapore. How I miss that child, or should I say the young man? Hope all is well with you and your family. Give everyone Aunt Carol's love. I pray this site helps you in your sons journey. It sure has helped us. Make sure you send pictures, as Elmo does videos of all the sailors. Go look at them, they really are good. If you have any questions or concerns about your sailor and what he is going through...ask! I'm sure someone here will have the answer or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm lucky enough to have two sailors- my son Eric just returned from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat returned last fall from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). And Debbie this is a great place to brag about your sailor as well! So join in and let us know how Tim is doing!

As a parent of a sailor currently or soon to be at Great Lakes you'll have many questions about what your son is going through.
