I have always supported our troops. I have learned better about the huge sacrifices our servicepeople make and better understand their committment to their duty now as well. This country will never be able to pay them enough for their service. I guess they must get their satisfaction from knowing they are serving their country.

Facebook & Navy should recognize Navy Dads

Posted on April 11, 2009 at 9:55pm 7 Comments

As soon as I got the email re: NavyDads having a group on Facebook I went onto my page there and joined the group - it showed 2 groups there for whatever reason, so I joined both. Simple enough decision.

On another issue - I would like to encourage every member here at NavyDads to send their Congressmen and Senators, local VA offices, local recruiting offices and whatever or whoever else you can think of letters, emails, personal visits, whatever, requesting that the Navy acknowledge… Continue

Hello Frank, My daughter Kira is currently serving aboard the TR and like your son she is a nuke too. She is set to come home soon and I can not wait to see her. I am so very proud of her and my son-in-law who is a nuke on the sub Scranton that is currently deployed with the Ike.

Is you son still assigned to the TR and if not where is he currently servering?

Please thank your son for his service from me!!

It really wan't anything too important.... I was registering Eric's Trailblzer SS here in Arizona for him and the gal at DMV was looking over his power of attorney he had prepared on the Roosevelt and she told she lived on Theodore Roosevelt Lane.....it is an amazing world sometimes.

And as far as I know the entire post should show on the thread page....I really never use that page for some reason, but a partial message showing could be a server issue or comm error....we have a ton of those around here for some reason.

Welcome to NavyDads Frank! I'm sure you'll find the site as fun and useful as I have. Explore and make some friends, add your comments to a discussion or two, read the postings in the various groups-- even start one or two. I have! If you have any questions or concerns about your sailor and what he is going through...ask! I'm sure someone here will have the answer or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm lucky enough to have two sailors- my son Eric is on the second half of a seven-month cruise on the carrier Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat recently returned from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). And Frank this is a great place to brag about your sailor as well! So join in and let us know how your sailor is doing! Best Regards- Paul

Frank, Welcome Aboard! I found navyformoms in searching for answers to my son's future. I just knew their had to be a site for dads like n4m's but I was wrong. So I started this site so us dads would also have a place to call home. I'm new at this and I hope this site will benefit fathers that come behind us. So jump right in share concerns, join groups, share info, and show off your sailor. I'm so glad to find out their are so many proud Navy dads just like myself. I hope this site benefits you and your family throughout your sons journey in the Navy. Thank Frank for his service for me and thanks again for joining us.
Sincerely, EG
