Hey Scott,
Thanks for accepting my invite. I remember you telling me you had a son in the service I just didn't remember what branch. I know you are as proud of Ryan as I am of Logan. It was a decision he made on his own with no input from his mom or I. He was part of the DEP program. (delayed enlistment program) and didn't report to boot camp for one year after his highschool graduation. A lot of time to think about it and back out but he stuck to it. Whe I asked him what made him join up he told me he wanted to be a part of something bigger that himself. And the possibility of seeing the world didn't hurt either. You and I have somthing to be real proud about. We must have done something right in raising our boys. Not really boys now are they. Take care Dex. Ryan , Logan and all the others serving this country are in our prayers. Later.
Hum

Scott, Welcome Aboard!

When my son first enlisted in the Navy I found NavyForMoms in searching for answers to his future. I just knew their had to be a site for dads but found out I was wrong. So I started this site so us dads would also have a place to call home. I'm new at this and hope this site will benefit fathers that follow behind us. So jump right in share concerns, join groups, share info, and show off your Marine. I'm so glad to find out their are so many proud Navy Dads just like myself. I hope this site benefits you and your family throughout your sons journey. Thank Ryan for his service for me and thanks again for joining us.

P.S. We have a group for Marine parents on the site but not sure how active it is. I'm sorry for such little info about our fine Marines on here. So, I'm really depending our Marine parents on the site to change this. If you know of any Marine groups or info that should be on here let me know.

Sincerely, E.G.

Welcome to NavyDads.com Scott! I'm sure you'll find NavyDads.com as useful, educational and informative as I have. Please explore the site and make some new Navy friends. Be sure to read the discussions add your comments or start a new discussion. Browse through the postings in the various groups or start a new one. I certainly have! If you have any comments, questions or concerns about your sailor and what he is going through...be sure to post them! In my experience someone here can answer your questions or concerns or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm blessed to have two sailors in the family - my son Eric (AM3) is stationed on the carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat (MC3) just completed her five-year enlistment on the carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). And Scott this is a great place to brag about your sailor as well! So join in, get active, and be sure to let us know how Ryan is doing! Please remember that we talk about the Navy here and we must keep the security and safety of our sailors and the fleet in mind at all times. On the right or starboard side of every NavyDads.com page is an area we call About This Site. Please take a minute and read through the Operations Security (OPSEC) link for some guidelines as to what we should and should not talk about in a public forum like NavyDads.com. And stop by the NavyDads offical store- Navyoutfitters.com! Show your support for NavyDads.com by wearing the latest in NavyDads attire. Best Regards- Paul
