Navy Dads

Please pray for us, we're worried that we might not be able to make it to our son's PIR. Tim has a PIR date of September 10th. Well, my wife had to leave her job due to some health issues and we just had to have a car repaired. So, the budget is getting really, really tight. I know this is a very important date for Tim and don't want to miss it if at all possible to go.

We beleive things will work out. I've got the time off and the money situation seems to be working out. We are excited.

Tell your boss it's his patriotic duty to give you the time off. Better still...give all of your fellow Navy Dads his email address and let US tell him! Good luck tomorrow Dany. Call for back up if you need it!

Those are great ideas. We live in Dallas, that's about a 16 hour road trip, if I can get the time off. I'll have to talk with my boss tomorrow. Thanks for all the hope and support!

Great ideas, Jim and Beau. Dany, as you're already discovering, this group is incredibly supportive of each other. This whole experience is very new to some of us and having a group like Navy Dads is a Godsend. Know that you're in our prayers, first and foremost. Jim's right - Tim knows you're rock solid behind him and whether you're physically there at PIR or not , he knows his immediate family - and extended NAVY family is proud of him.

I dont know what part of the country you live in Dany, If your east coast or southeast there is the Megabus, really cheap to get to Chi Town. Public transit is cheap once your there.

Dany,
We'll pray for you and your family that you'll be able to attend. This is a day you will not want to miss. Not only is it an incredibly moving ceremony, you will burst with pride watching your son march by in his dress whites. Ours had his PIR this past Friday and it's an experience we'll never forget. Tim will be transformed before your eyes. Best of luck, Dany. We hope you'll be able to be there. Thank your son for his service to our country. Welcome to the Navy family!
