Things are going much better we got our first phone call on Sunday June 30th, it was 15 minutes and I thought that was pretty good!!! Its getting easier but the July 4th holiday was sure different, this was the first year without my daughter and the first year without my older brother sure made for a weird holiday!!! I feel like we will make it I have been writing letters and like everyone else they are therapeutic for her and me so I'm gonna keep writing!!! I hope the phone call helped her as much as it did Mom & Dad!!

Congrats!  writing letters and looking for Inspirational qtes helps alot, I even created a scrap book, ,,,, I stalked Facebook Recruit Training Command daily, just to get a glimpse of a pic of him, where God gave me a gift.  I got a beautiful pic of him in formation in his digitals!  a picture taken at random, better than winning the lotto I say! :) He graduated BC in Feb, and recently Graduate Dive Prep.  Hooyah!!!

you'll have your tough moments, but there are a couple of things to remember: 1) the 8 weeks will go by far faster than you think they will, 2) nearly everyone on the site has been though this process- don't hesitate to vent or ask questions---- the more you know the less concerned you'll be, and the most important, 3) when that roll up door in the drill hall goes up for PIR you'll see it was all worth it!!!!
