Navy Dads

Well- we received the Box from RTC today with our son's belongings. Backpack, shorts, t-shirt. We discovered in the pocket of his shorts his Driver License.  Do you think this was a mistake on his part? Or would they have told him to send it home? I would think he needs it. He took a wallet, cash, Social Security Card and Driver license. If he needs it back we will wait till we get his address and mail it back.

Any Thoughts?

"Although they are becoming men they will always be our sons." You're right on!

Thanks Gary- I appreciate your comment. One thing for sure. He does not need the DL to drive anywhere. I enjoy reading the comments by dad's from a year ago when their son's were in bootcamp and how much they worried and thought about their sons. I guess some things never change. Although they are becoming men they will always be our sons.

My son went to BC with pretty much the same items your son had and when we got his civilian box it had his backpack, ipod, shoes and stinky laundry.

I can only guess that your son may have sent his DL unintentionally by accident? I wouldn't rule out anything in BC it could also be possible that he was told to send it back.

But like you mentioned, send him a letter as soon as you get the form letter with his address and ask if he needs it back. You can always mail it.

Hope this helps...
