Navy Dads

Well dads, today is my last day being home! I leave at 10 am for Cleveland and will be staying in the hotel over night. Then I go to MEPS in the morning and get to see my dad, step mom, and step sisters. My dad has made an account on here and his name is Laron Leake, so please look after him and help him get through this while I can not be here. I appreciate all the advice you have all given me and I will bring that along. I'll post a blog when I get back telling all about my journey!

We are soo proud of you Corinne, You have grown to a fine young lady with dreams of doing and seeing things that most of us can only wish we had done when the opportunity came our way. I realize the next few weeks will be probably some of the most difficult that you will have had to experience in your life. But everyone knows you can make it through. I will be thinking of you daily and wondering how you are doing. This is a huge step for you and I want you to know that I am behind you 110% of the way. I honestly believe you have made one of the most important decisions of your life here. When things get tough.. just keep looking at the big picture and tell youself it will all be worth it in the end..

HOORAH Corinne. I 3rd the advice given by Randall and second the Advice given by E.G. and Jim. Dad will be fine and by the time you see each other at PIR you will both have learned so much more about what you are getting into that your family will be jealous. I wish you all the best and I too am awaiting the post boot blog. All I can say is to repeat words that a wise person once told me "Be as smart as you can, but remember that it is always better to be wise than smart". good luck and take care. Do us all proud here at Navy dads because we are your biggest supports next to your family. looking forward to talk with you again in about 9 weeks.

Corinne,

Ditto to Randall's advice. Just remember you have a lot of dads here pulling for you. My son might have been the only one but he actually liked boot camp. He always said "the fastest way to get out of boot camp is to graduate". lol I can't wait to read the follow up blog once your a United States Sailor.

Best of Luck!

Good luck, your journey will take you in a direction unlike any other. Keeping
your eyes open, and mouth closed will aid you in the weeks to come.
Daughters in the service make fathers proud on a special level.
