Hi Tim Thanks for the message my sons PIR is Apr 25 an I will not be able to go to the graduation so I have been watching live an just saw a post from someone from ship 13 div 151 an was wondering what school their SR was going too again Thanks
As I mentioned to your co-admin, Gary, sorry for the delay in my response. I'm very grateful for the effort and extremely valuable information contained in this site. I keep coming back for the content even though I'm not very responsive in the social mechanisms just yet. I have passed on the kind regards to my daughter and she's humbly accepts them. I'm a proud father!
Thank you Tim for your kind words and encouragement. It is a milestone in his life and I could not be happier with his choice to serve our great nation. I look forward to getting the first letter from RTC so that I can start counting the days!!! Thanks again to you and this EXCELLENT community. We do live in the greatest nation on the globe!!!

Thank you Tim for your comments. I am very proud of my Grandaughter in the step that she has taken. I was not in the Navy but in the Army and Vietnam Nam in 1962-65. I know what she is going through in RTC based upon my past experience. I am glad to see younger generation take this step so that we can sleep at night knowing that out country is in good hands.
Thank you Tim. I have been using the website frequently. Jonathan's PIR is one 21 Mar 2014. He went in as an E-3 and signed a 6 year contract. His advanced training will be at Great Lakes, IL.
We are trying to get solid information on how long we will be able to be with Jon after PIR. I have heard 2 days to a few hours. It would be helpful to know this information so we can book our trip accordingly. I am handicapped and the closer to the base, the better. From what I have read, handicapped setting is limited and on a first come, first served basis. My wife is going to talk to "Sarge"(?) about transportation, hotel rooms, and things to see. If you have any ideas or comments, please feel free to enlighten me.
Thank you for the welcome . Today was one of the hardest days in my life, my son shipped out today and we watched him swear in and then later watched him get on the bus ,I didn't realize how hard it was going to be . I know it will get easier over time as I write this we are waiting on his call to say he got there. I am very proud of my son .
Tim, thank you for the warm welcome and nice words of encouragement. My son has less than a week before leaving for Great Lakes. He is very excited and looking forward to the experience. We are very proud and anticipating a wonderful career for him.
Thank you for the add! I'm very excited to be part of this group. A little about me: I'm a wife of a sailor, my oldest and only daughter is a sailor and is stationed in Va, and my oldest son, Roald ( we call him Rj because everyone try's to change his name to Ronald.. Or they have an issue pronouncing it) Rj is half way through bootcamp.. His PIR is at the end of the month. People always ask me.. How do you do it? I respond.. What do you mean? My husband and daughter were deployed in 2012, seperate commands, but out if pure luck got to spend a week together overseas while deployed.. I'm proud of my husband and my children's choices.. They chose to enlist to better themselves.. To get their education as well as see the world, and most importantly.. Protect our country. My husband is a YN, my daughter is a PS, and our son is a HM.. I couldn't be prouder! I'm glad I found this group... Have a great day everyone!
Thank you Admin Tim. It is appreciated what you and this site do for all the families involved. This site is a great source of information and very comforting to know exactly what my son is experiencing along the way, what quals, classes, training and preparation he is being tested on. Thank you!
