Hi,
Andrew received his orders Friday. He is off to Hawaii. He has been assigned to a squadron of P-3 Orisons. He is to make a stop at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island for "C" school.
Don't know report dates, but he is authorized leave before reporting. I know that he has some plans to attend his brother HS grad and a friends wedding. He must make the decision.

Mr. E.G......how are things going? Talked to Morgan tonight. They started school yesterday, with a graduate date of 12/21 or there abouts! How did the house hold up with Gustav? I hope well. Tell that wife of yours I've been thinking about her and will call her within the next few days. She must be hammered....activity wise, not alcohol! Later my friend.

EG- and THANK YOU for your sons service. I just talked to my son (USS Theodore Roosevelt) and they are pulling out from Norfolk tomorrow to beat the hurricane....so now I'll wait for the Linclon to get back to Everett with my daughter now. I'm not sure what the Lincoln's plans are, but they will be in port for some time now since this was a 7-month cruise.

To all those parents out there that have sons and daughters at Great Lakes RTC....try not to worry. I've been there for two graduations (Kat on 10/7/2005 and Eric on 3/9/2007) and to see how the Navy changed those youngsters into sailors is an experience never to be forgotten.

To all those parents that have sailors in the fleet.....please thank them for their service and express my gratitude as a grateful American that we have such men and women out there that go to sea to protect our country.

Spoken like a true Dad! That's probably what Martin would say too. If you'd have Cindy give me a yell, by cell or email, once she's recovered from trip, hurricane, and unpacking, I'd appreciate it. Can't wait to hear about her trip and what she thought of the northwest. Keeping you and the family in my prayers.

EG - I knew you had it in you :) ! Great job friend! Do you all live close to the Gulf coast or are you more inland? Will you all ride the storm out? Either way you all will be on the worst side of storm :(. Terry (co-admin) & I are watching Hanna, her direction is up in the air. The forecasters are now saying she will make landfall on S. Carolina or N. Carolinas coast around Thursday or Friday. . .? I am glad I live inland but back in '89 when Hugo came through it didn't matter how inland you were. I guess the hurricanes give us all things to talk about at the corner store lol. Can't wait for this hurricane season to end, Fay was scary here this past week! Flooded so many communities and the tornadoes were plenty and she was downgraded to tropical depression by the time she arrived! You all stay safe and I will be praying. God Bless, Michele :)

Terry, I am so proud that Paul has taken God into his heart and into his life. When Evan was baptized my heart was so filled. When he was at boot camp and went to church, he wrote and told me if he closed his eyes he felt I was next to him singing. Think that didn't get my heart. Tell Paul from me, he made to great choices this year. May God Sail with him and all our sailors. And don't be to sad Wednesday, he is serving for all of us to be safe. God Bless to you and all your family. And when you are lonely, you still have all of us. God Bless!

Wanted you to know you and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers today. Concerned. I'm guessing, by Michele's comment that Cindy and Evan made it okay. Maybe I'll call her tomorrow to she how she's doing. Update me when you are able to.

Yes sir they are! Have you heard about Hanna yet? She will be arriving about the same time as Gustav, forecasted to hit Florida. I wonder if after landfall if they will collide with each other and make a really scary combined storm? Wes still is on schedule to fly out Sept 5th for Pensacola but with Hanna coming now he might be on hold a bit longer :(. I wish they would fly him out now before the storm so he is out of GL. GL is really weighing on him with all he has put up with. He will endure though :). I am glad Cindy & Evan made it safely! I am sure she will treasure that trip for a very long time. How have you been holding up with being both parents and the hurricane bearing down? Take good care friend! God Bless, Michele

Thank you for the warm welcome. It will take me awhile to learn how to do all this on your web site for i am not a big computer or internet person. But this looks like something i can proceed with. My daughter is in her 3rd week of boot camp so we have not been able to communicate with her but have sent tons of letters. She's my baby girl and i'm so PROUD of her but miss her awful. Do you have a son or daughter in the Navy? How long have they been in? God's blessing be with both of you.

Wow! I'm coming to your house for a meal! Please keep me posted on where the hurricane is headed. How are the kids handling this hurricane possibly hitting you? Tucson, a very hot, city. I lived there for a couple of years when I was younger. Nothing like having a rock and cactus front yard! That's also where my Dad bet my brother that he wouldn't eat a grub worm. My brother ate it....yuck. I also spent many hours in our covered drive way playing handball. A few fond memories, actually, more than a few. Interesting side note, my best friend there was a Cindy. Anyway, take care of yourself and thanks for keeping me posted on their trip. That has to be a blessing and a curse for Cindy. Would be for me anyway.

Been thinking of you all morning wondering if the hurricane is going to be anywhere close to you. Let me know. How are you holding up being a Dad and Mom? I'm sure you'll do great.

Hey Elmo. How are you holding up with the kids? ha..I think it's great that Mrs. Cindy got to go with him though. That has to be an unforgettable trip. I would love to be able to drive across the united states like that and see everything. Well I'm sure I'll be coming over to visit soon. School is kicking my butt right now, but I'm trying my hardest to focus on it. Well you know I'm only a phone call away if you need back up with the kids or anything ha. Good luck. Take care!

I'm absolutely positive that she will thoroughly enjoy and treasure this trip. I wish I could've spent some one-on-one time with Morgan while in GL. Morgan's always been more of a saver than a spender....his brother is the exact opposite! When you talk to them next, please tell them I said hi and to have a great time. Don't know their route, but should they to decide to drive through the state of Idaho....not Iowa, and get close to the Boise area, they need to call. I'd be really upset if they didn't!

Okay....I'm confused. Last I knew, Cindy wasn't. Now she is? So, you get to take care of the kids while mom's gone. I'm guessing she's going to fly home. Thanks for the info about getting the other taken care of. Enjoy taking care of the kids...Mr. Mom!

Hi EG, Hope you're taking care of that wife of yours. I was trying to update photos on my page, when I noticed that something was wrong with the section that asks what our sailor wants to do. If you look at it, it's letters, symbols, and...i think numbers. Thought you might want to check into it. Hows Cindy doing?
