Hey Paul..she's good and settling into life @x NAS. Still undecided on school but seems to be going in good direction. Being w/ Jeremy has grounded her so that's good. Conner home this week on leave and thats good too. We went to the range this am where we tied...1 old man vs sailor with full arm cast so I'm feeling pretty good!

Thank you for the advice and kind words. I am sure we will have many questions as this process moves forward. He will be an LS or logistics specialist and ships out Oct. 29th. Thanks again.

Great site. There are alot of answers here for all my questions that I may have. It has been rough for us since Christina left on April 28th to Great Lakes. This site and Navy for Moms has made things a little easier for us. Thanks

Hey Paul, yes i thought about talking to E.G about it also. I was going to send him an e-mail here in just a bit.I have been putting them on bulletin boards where ever i find them, plus i gave a few of them to my nephews wife, seeing as how they run with a lot of the younger kids in that age bracket that may be considering the military.Either way 2000 is way more than i was expecting!

Hey Paul,i went and had 1000 Navydads business cards printed up and by my oldest daughters standards they were not perfect. On the back there was one little smudge that i couldn't even see,but had to have it pointed out to me.Well she called the company and filed a complaint and they are going to send me a new batch,so i will have 2000 cards and i was wondering if you or somebody you know would be interested in some of them? The first batch is about 100 light as of right now.Or if you like i will send you some of the second batch, either way 2000 cards is more than i had planned on.

Aloha Paul,

Thanks for the comments on the video. What a job of putting it all together, first time and all, but it was well worth it.

Great cruise and of course great friends made I hope we can all get together again.. I'll be seeing Fred over here in a couple of weeks, so next it's your turn.

Hey Paul, how's everything? I too have been out of it. I got a little wet from a rain in Chicago and I got a cold which has lasted for about 10 days now. My Mother in Law thinks it's the Swine Flu. My boy is currently in A School in Great Lakes even though he hasn't actually started school yet. We talk a lot with him on the phone since he has a cell phone and I get the feeling that he is starting to settle in now. Paul, the graduation was great, we were so proud of him as you can see from my pictures.

Before I forget, I wanted to thank you for all your support and more importantly your friendship. I am so blessed to be part of this great Navy family. It all begins now, the roller coaster ride. I am taking my daughter to see Wolverine so I'll write again so. Again, thank you and God Bless.

Thank you for the welcome. So your daughter is on the same ship as your fellow administrator. You must be proud of her and your son also. I would soooo much like to see my daughter enlist like my son did, but don't think it'll ever happen. Not unless they have cosmopology as a Navy job! But who knows? Hopefully she will see how well her brother is doing and want to do something worth while with her life besides working in a beauty salon.

Hi Paul. Yes,i have checked the pics out a couple of times.I am envious! lol... I will never get to do that, but i love the ocean.I spend as much time as the bank account will allow. My moms family being of Norwegian decent, the water is pretty much in the blood.
Now when i hear of someone around here joining the Navy i am gonna proudly hand them a card and let them know to check it out.Well worth the time.Once Kris is done with the wallpaper i am gonna send it to James and have him put it on his laptop. We will get the word out.The least we parents can do for what you E.G.and Terry have done for the rest of us parents. Thanks again...
Have a great eve and we'll talk later!

Thanks Paul for the welcome. Michael is my oldest grandson. He just finished boot camp and should now be on his way to Pensicola, Florida for further training. Hopefully, I'll have an address soon.

Paul, I'm not sure what day you're leaving for your Tiger Cruise, but I know it is really soon. Have a great time on the high seas and enjoy your visit with Eric!! I look forward to seeing your pictures when you get back.
I posted a message on the Care Package group indicating I would make a large batch of jerky to donate to the Bainbridge sailors. Will we be collecting everything in one location before mailing it out to the ship? Or, are we going to be getting an address in which to send our packages to? Because it takes time to get the jerky made, I won't be able to get it done until this coming weekend.

My reference of a rating title placed after a members name is this. When I log on, If I go to the top of the page and cross over to members and click, all members names appear. This is where a quick reference of a members sailors rate would help a member find others with sailors in there child career path. It would save going through each members name to find out what there sailor is training or trained for. Might spur more interaction between members.

Thanks Admin. We are watching the news almost constantly. I have email alerts when the Bainbridge is mentioned. We, too are proud of him. My wife say that Christmas will never be the same with his sea stories and mine. We are praying for Capt. Phillips and the sailors there. All of our military are in our prayers, but, especially sailors. lol
