Hi Jamie..Thank you for your help. That may be about the best way to get word out to the parents even though it is a little late leading to PIR.

Glad to hear that you had three days to spend with Jimmie. It is great when you get to see them after a two+ month absence.Plus he will be fairly close to home for the rest of his schooling prior to joining the fleet. That is awesome! You and your family are well on your way in the Navy journey.Enjoy!

James got home on leave last Tuesday and he goes back on the 5th of July back to Mississippi for another round of training.About 13-14 weeks, then on to his regular duty station. Thanks again for your help and we'll talk later !!

Hi Jamie, the cards went out this morning instead of Saturday as i missed that pick-up time.Sorry about that.Question, are you going to jimmies PIR? If so could i send you a few more to pass out at the ceremony? No pressure, just curious as i missed my chance by learning about the idea a little late,or not paying close enough attention to what was being said earlier.Old age i guess {:-) Thanks for your help.....

Welcome to NavyDads Jamie! I'm sure you'll find the site as fun and useful as I have. Explore and make some friends, add your comments to a discussion or two, read the postings in the various groups-- even start one or two. I have! If you have any questions or concerns about your sailor and what he is going through...ask! I'm sure someone here will have the answer or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm lucky enough to have two sailors- my son Eric just returned from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat returned last fall from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). And Jamie this is a great place to brag about your sailor as well! So join in and let us know how Jimmie is doing! Best Regards- Paul

Jamie, Welcome Aboard! I found navyformoms in searching for answers to my son's future. I just knew their had to be a site for dads like n4m's but I was wrong. So I started this site so us dads would also have a place to call home. I'm new at this and I hope this site will benefit fathers that come behind us. So jump right in share concerns, join groups, share info, and show off your sailor. I'm so glad to find out their are so many proud Navy Dads just like myself. I hope this site benefits you and your family throughout your sons journey in the Navy. Thank Jimmie for his service for me and thanks again for joining us.
Sincerely, EG
