Robert:  In that area it has more to do with China's upgraded Naval endeavors -- new carrier fleet and more, that's making their neighbors nervous. So, we are there to help them, like we do in ME and other places.  We do maneuvers with many other nations on an annual basis, helps us all out. They just have to make sure the jellyfish are no longer swarming. They like to get sucked up by the little tubes and clog up the whole mess. ;)  By the way -- are you aware that your comments come up in Google Alerts and various search engine searches? This is how I found this -- Google Alerts Pacific Fleet.  Be careful what you post.  Loose lips sink ship, Loose tweets sink fleets.

Yeah they were in the Arabian Gulf supporting our troops in Afghanistan.  They left Dubai a couple of day ago for a much needed shore leave.  "I think" they are headed for the Singapore area on their way back home to Bremerton in February.  I just heard on the news where Obama said we were going to increase our presence in the Australia area of operation (why I don't know), but they could be headed in that direction...  Who knows, but they have left the Gulf.

How about the Stennis CVN 74?  I thought it was in the pacific  fleet, maybe not.
