Thank you John for your help. He is going to graduate in May. The time will fly by. I just want to let him know that We at home in Nebraska are praying and thinking about him. Thankx again. and GO HUSKERS!!
Paul, depends on how long he's been there. They go through stages and each time they progress, things get a little easier. Let him be your guide as to what to send. Remember, they don't have a lot of storage. Good luck to him.
hello all new to this. My son Tyler is in A school @ Gulfport MS. He says food is not as good as it was in Chicago. Is there any do's and dont's for sending hime things in the mail. I want to send him some home made food and his bible.
Well, after graduating from Basic on 1-27-2012, my son tells me that he will be starting his HM classes on Wednesday. He is more than ready to get on with it!
Becky, My son has been at Hospital Corpsman A School for about 3 weeks now. He asked about having a car and was told that it was allowed, but that the parking near his dorm is very limited and was discouraged from having a car on base. He just takes a taxi when he wants to go somewhere on the weekend and splits the fair with a buddy or 2.
My Nephew starts A school on Monday in Pensacola, looks like he will be their for several months, C school after A school too.
Newest updates. Son just got the word he will be assigned to the USS Carr. He should be home for leave in two weeks than off to his new assignment. Very proud of my son, thanks for all the help along the way.
How is everyone, hope all is well with you and yours. I hear from the boy almost everyday, big change from boot camp. He has said he will be on the east coast, on a GM Frigate. He is very excited.
Talked to the boy tonight all is well. This week has been lots of paper work and not much else. he said next week sould be better. When we were in GL we did get to go on to the base. that was alot of fun. Nice to hear from him.
save for the hanger deck, space is pretty darn limited on a carrier as well!!!
