Ken, is Cody going into small arms on the carrier. Does he know his assignment? My son has three weeks left in C-School. Then off to Hawaii for V.L.S. on the cruiser Lake Erie. My best to Cody! I am sure you are as proud of him as he is of his accomplishments. Gary T.

Has Cody been home since Boot Camp? Our guy hasn't been yet, since December. We've visited there. The uniform fools you into thinking he's someone else. Maybe he is?

Just got the word that Cody will get to come home for 10 days leave before reporting the the USS George HW Bush. He did not think he would be able to, but found out today he can. I'm so excited!!!

Our Sailor shipped out for A school 3 hours after PIR. He's finishing A school in May, and will stay in the same room for C school. It's nice, though. It's in the Navy Lodge, and has a view of the ocean from the window. His only complaint is not enough PT

Ian has one week left for his GSM A School at Great Lakes. He has still not been told where he will be stationed and on what ship. There apparently is a back-up on GSM's.

Lee is home for 16 days. She left GL last Friday. She is working with her recruiter all this week PTing the new kids on the block waiting to go to GL. She will leave May 3rd for a 3 year assignment aboard the USS Tortuga in Sasebo, Japan. Don't know when we'll get to see her again - I think this is harder than her going to GL.

Eddie - Your son will indeed like San Diego and he will also like the SAMPSON as well. It was my last ship and she's very well built and has a great crew. She also just returned from deployment last month so she'll be inport for a while so hopefully he'll get some leave time once he gets settled in.

Bob - I have seen students spend their entire time here on the Enterprise. She is more likely to stay there is she takes a leadership position like Master at Arms ot Yeoman.
