Yeah...he was just hung up on 9 wks of being told what to do every second of every minute of every hour, to going to complete lack of structure...was a shock to him. We basically told him to get his head out of his butt and wake up. He started rambling about some things being disorganised...we said yeah, that ONLY happens in there, NEVER see that out here...get used to it. lol
He knows these things...just needs to be reminded sometimes that it's what HE makes of it, and he owns that.

Jim,
they should have someone standing watch at the building heis in that tells them the uniform of the day. They will tell him if he can wear his sweat clothes for running outside. Tony has been running every day. The gyms are pretty good too from what he said. There is a bowling alley and Theater on base as well.

Talked to Chris again last night...seemed strange, TWO nights in a row! LOL
Anyway...funny kid...he was bored. Bored?? Are ya kiddin'???? He was on Liberty, and was complaining, because no one had told him what he could do or not do, and he felt they should have. I asked him if he'd asked his Chief, and he said no, you can't do that, because then you're a "dumb-ass"...I mentioned that maybe you're a dumb-ass for not asking? lol
Asked if he'd gone for a run yet, he said no, didn't know if he was allowed to (the kids on liberty?...LOL) Said he hadn't seen anyone ELSE do it, so he wasn't going to because he wasn't going to get in trouble.
Anyway...we told him to get his butt over to one of the gyms and work out for awhile.
Still wasn't sure what was happening with his quarters, and when he might move to permanent, or what was happening with school yet.

Hey guys,

My son is in ATT, which is the first part of AECF. he should done around April. It took him a month and a half to get into a class after he grad BC.
Jim, if your son plays drums, he might run into my son, he plays base guitar. He plays over at the USO all the time. His name is Nick. Any questions guys, please ask. Don't know all the answers, but I am pretty good at finding out.

Chris moved over Tuesday. He called last night, sounded great. Played some drums over at the USO. Said he's in "indoctrination" right now, and isn't in his permanent housing yet either, but he's sharing a room with one other guy, so he's thrilled. He also said he believes he's FC, but he doesn't have anything in writing to back that up.
Go figure.
