Well our Seaman will be coming home for the first time since he left for Basic in November 2013. While at A-School in Monterey, CA we have been able to visit him a number of times, but "home for the holiday's" takes on a whole new meaning for us this Christmas. May God bless your Sailor and keep him/her safe always and may your Sailor be home for the Holidays, if not physically, at least in your heart.
Thanks Roy!!
David you might want to wait and see what your sons says on that friday...you should have plenty of time to still notify them about the rental and keep your room for another night.....just to be on the safe side
When my daughter left to A school from Great Lakes It was on sunday morning....We thought she would leave on sat also but we had the chance to spend the day with her on sat and spent time with her at airport before they flew out on sunday morning....
Hello All! My son will be headed to Pensacola some time Saturday.. PIR 12 December 14..... HOOYAH!!
Hey Bill!! Long time no check-in with.....Hope all is well. How about those Patriots, huh!?!?!??! Hope Sam continues to excel!! Michael completed the Common Core Engineering course and is now in stand down until after Christmas break. He will journey home on December 23 and return December 29 ish. Sam able to journey home for Christmas? Michael remained at GL for Thanksgiving. Be well, my friend. ~ Pat
Ummmm, Karen Catherine stayed up and watched the Jets lose....again.....Bring on the "what's their name?" - lol Please tell Sam that we send our best...... Preliminarily, we heard A school shutdown December 19. 2014-January 4, 2015. Michael does not have a completion date for A school. Be well ~ Pat
That is awesome..i am going to talk with him tonight actually. Want to see when he might get a chance to come home before assignment after school… and Pat, nobody cares about the Patriots GO HAWKS!
Hi Bill - Michael called tonight - nice long conversation - lol - ok, seriously, he wants boxers, sneakers, dungarees, shirts, sweatshirt, CarHart clothing in anticipation of next phase of A school where he can wear civilian clothing. We had a good chat, nonetheless. I had a host of questions for him - Karen had a few - and Michael's grandmother, who lives with us, was able to chat with Michael. Indoctrination is progressing well - he seems to be adjusting well. I hope you and Laura and Sam's younger brother are getting back to normal after last week. Today, I could not help but think of all of the excitement associated with last week. I did peek at your FB - Karen has an account - and saw some photos of Sam along with your fun photos associated with your business. Be well, my friend. I really enjoyed getting to meet you last week. ~ Pat (and the Patriots won, too!! :-) ))
