I just basically told him let us know when he can talk and to call us so we don't call or bug him. Sounded like they were going to be kept busy all week though...

Hi Bill:  Michael and I text/chatted yesterday.  He did not have any information regarding timeline, etc., he did not type particularly exciting messages...."Dad, my A school training hasn't started, yet."  LOL  Oh, well.  He wrote that in response to my congratulations to him that he was in A school.  Frankly, I am glad he is doing something this week as he learns the ropes as to what is expected during Indoctrination Week leading up to A School.  On another note, I ordered two DVD's of the PIR early on Tuesday morning.

My son arrived at Corry Station Pensacola last Saturday to start IT A school.  He has been going through some basic stuff this week, still in temporary quarters.  School will be 22 weeks, it looks like, once it actually starts.  He is enjoying being finished with boot camp immensely, I might add.

My son is in Groton Conn. for his A school. He will finish BESS school on Aug. 22 2014. We will not be able to attend. Is there anyone with a son or daughter that graduates that day

A school graduation this coming Thursday in Groton, CT.  We are travelling from fly-over country to see our older son graduate.  He tells us that the ceremony will be at the Nautilus museum...very cool.  He was informed that his boat gets underway the day he graduates, so he will get a couple weeks at home, then off to Pearl for a couple of days before meeting his boat at some port in the Pacific.  The wife is anxious to go visit him in early 2015.

BTW Language Day on May 9th at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey CA was a hoot! I was so impressed with all the young (very young) sailors, marines. soldiers & airmen.  Best fun of all I got to see our son through the eyes of his shipmates...a very special day!
