hello, I'm Fay- my son is deployed with CVN65 . He is a Petty Officer /Amid with the Mid-Alantic site in Norfolk. He became Navy from Oct.1999. I wish my son & all the Troops deployed with the Enterprise, a secure trip/ may God return you home Safe . Fair winds & Following seas.  God Bless the Enterprise.       A Mom

A team from the Navy Unmanned Combat Air System program office (PMA-268) accomplished the first carrier touchdown of an F/A-18D surrogate aircraft, emulating an unmanned vehicle, using systems developed as part of the Unmanned Combat Air System Carrier Demonstration (UCAS-D) program on July 2. http://www.navy.mil/search /display.asp?story_id=61420

Hard Turn: USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (IKE) completed sea trials. During the sea trials, the aircraft carrier engaged in high-speed turns and various other tests.

some international cooperation to save an injured sailor----

The sailor was initially transported from Baltic Island to the Republic of Korea navy destroyer ROKS Chungmugong Yi Sun-Shin (DDH 975) before being moved to the Royal Fleet Auxiliary primary casualty receiving ship RFA Argus (A135). Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus announced today the next Gerald R. Ford-class aircraft carrier will be named the USS John F. Kennedy. The selection John F. Kennedy, designated CVN 79, honors the 35th President of the United States and pays tribute to his service in the Navy, in the government, and to the nation.

May 24, 2011: An F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to the Red Rippers of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 11 makes the 400,000th arrested landing aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN 65). Enterprise is the first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier to reach this milestone.

The media is reporting that this will most likely end this man's career, maybe his career as a comedian should be at stake but that should be all. In the video he is playing the part of all 3 people so his only " gay slur" was directed only at himself. I guess it is no longer PC to cuss like a Sailor either.

If anyone has read "Lone Survivor" you can sympathize with the folks on the Enterprise. It is a sad commentary of our media when they thrive on denegrating our fighting forces every time they get a chance. The saddest part is that they get the last word since they air or publish what they want. The politicians are also to blame. The majority of them sit in their cushy chairs making rules (of engagement) and then cave in to the media to maje themselves appear they are on top of the situation. The videos may have been inapproriate - I don't know, the media has only shown what they want us to see. I hope the NAVY has the brass (....) to stand up for their sailors!
