Robert, I was wondering the same thing about Thanksgiving dinner. If you find something out let me know.

I'm back from Meg's PIR!!! OMG!! She was able to meet CNO Admiral Roughead (chech out his "personal" medallion on my photo) at the meet n greet for Honor Grads. Meagan's words were "there was a so much gold in there her eyes hurt" She was received well and has already made a name for herself. I thought I was going to burst...

I ran across this scanned image taken many years ago at the range in Battle Mountain, NV. Kat is patiently waiting for Eric to finish firing dad's old Savage .22 while I looked on so she could have a chance. I don't know if it shows up, but we actually found Kat a pair of camo fatigue pants and the smallest pair of combat boots available that she wore everywhere-- even though they were still a couple of sizes too big. It's hard to believe that was as many years ago as it was-- so Gregg and Craig please stop with the posts....I'm getting all choked-up thinking about those days and the wonderful experience it was.........Paul

Congratulations Craig. Ours is nineteen days away. I feel the same as you do. I was thinking as I was unloading corn into our bin, that when the school bus went by I swore I seen it stop and a little blonde girl came skipping up the driveway, out to the truck with this huge smile on her face and always would ask Dad need any help. I would say no but I could use a hug, So I would get my hug and a I love you and would be smiling as I watched her skip into the house. Ya, I think of alot of those moments. Enjoy Craig.

This evening as I sit on my back deck and enjoy the company of my youngest daughter (3.5), the unusually warm weather, fall colors and fading sun I am reminded of the times when Meagan and I would often walk through the N GA woods hand in hand wondering where life would take her. I leave tomorrow for her PIR with this darn knot in my stomach now knowing that little girl is about to embark on the journey of a lifetime. She's still little...but she's so strong with confidence in her abilities that it makes me wonder...do all you dads out there feel the same as I do? You must...or you wouldn't be here. Take Care all, will return later this w/e with new photos!

Bravo John- I bet you're looking forward to Family Day. Be sure to plan to take photos-- non-classified of course! And thanks for keeping us posted on Amanda.

HooYah John! Often the Navy has palns that seem to differ from our hopes-- oh well. I mirror your feeling re: teh Tiger. i was so hoping that I could do one with Kat on return from cruise, but she decided to fly from hawaii to Vegas....besides she didn't have a male sponsor for me for berthing. Anyway...Eric is in the Atlantic Fleet currenlty helping to drop ord on bad Afgani guys...so we'll see what route they take home and if they do any sort of Tiger or family cruise. So look at this way...Amanda will be closer to home and visits won't so far in between! My best regards to you both- Paul

Hi Robert. We had the same questions with the addresses. Jess said she was getting all of the letters with different addresses. We chose to use the one with her ship name, division number and berth(bed) number. Big addresses aren't they. Take care.
