Robert- you have all of our support as this is a difficlut journey for our girls! Be sure to write and let Whitney know how proud you are of what she's doing...and that she has the support of lots of people she doesn't even know! It will get better and she will come to appreciate the hurdles she overcame....Paul

Hi Robert. Hang in there. Jessie's first two letters were the same way. The third letter was a little better, but it wasn't until I heard her voice that I knew she was ok. Her best comment, she was proud of herself. She handled the yelling and being on her own. Her group came together as a team. She still did not like the open showers and bathrooms, but said everyone was getting used to it. Got our fourth letter today and was very positive. So, as I was told by many others, it will get better.

Meg will PIR 7 Nov...might have rate change, not sure until next letter. Her only complaint so far is those darn shin splints (even though I had her running uphill here in TN) and has accustomed herself to military life. she's thanked me several time for instilling a sense of "urgency" and attention to detail. Her younger brother Conner PIR'ed last Friday and has been a huge inspiration for her.

To all you who have shared stories and concerns about your girls let me give you a sincere Thanks! I can see how proud you all are (as I am!) of the committment your daughters have made to protect and serve their Country. You have all raised women that understand those ideals of Duty, Honor, and Country and you all deserve a Job Well Done and a pat on the back! My best regards to you all ! Paul

Thanks Robert. In Jessies first letter she said I get it now. We keep forgetting to ask, what part of what we've taught you do you get. But, I know. It, is how precious family is.

Heard from my daughter today, it was such a great feeling to hear her voice. The best words were I'm proud of myself Dad...

Paul, thank you for the support. It will be nice hearing her voice. Robert, we got our first letter in about two weeks. I hope you get yours soon.

I wish I could tell you Greg....I know that it was quite awhile before I heard from either Kat or Eric...but I had to keep the thought that "no news was good news" figuring that if there was sort of major problem I would have heard something. That does not make it any easier for you I know, but keep the faith friend and be strong- Paul

Gregg- that is exactly why this site exists....to provide the support and answers that we parents need! And listen, you may not get the recognition that you deserve as well for being an emergency responder - so let me say thank you! Paul
